💥Embark on a stunning sailing journey through the Bay of Naples and the Amalfi Coast. Begin on the charming island of Procida, then explore the thermal springs of Ischia, the dramatic cliffs of Capri, and the historic ruins of Pompeii. Sail past picturesque coastal villages, dive into crystal-clear waters, and stroll through sun-soaked towns like Sorrento and Amalfi. Along the way, enjoy fresh seafood, sip on local Limoncello, and take in breathtaking views of Mount Vesuvius. A perfect blend of culture, adventure, and relaxation awaits.
Day 1 • Procida - Ischia
Benvenuti! Welcome to Italy. Your journey begins on the enchanting island of Procida, a colorful gem off the coast of Naples. If you arrive early, take some time to explore: visit the walled medieval village of Terra Murata or stroll along the picturesque port of Corricella.
In the afternoon, meet your group at 3 PM for a welcome briefing. Together, you'll shop for supplies before setting sail for nearby Ischia – the largest island in the Bay of Naples. Upon arrival, stretch your legs with a visit to the impressive Castello Aragonese, a 15th-century fortress perched dramatically on a volcanic rock.
This evening, ask your skipper for local dining recommendations and perhaps enjoy your first group dinner before settling into your first night aboard.
Day 2 • Ischia - Sorrento
Spend a leisurely morning discovering Ischia's volcanic landscapes and renowned thermal springs. You might like to unwind at Spiaggia dei Pescatori, a scenic beach nestled between Ischia Porto and Ischia Ponte.
Later, set sail for Sorrento, famed for its panoramic vistas of the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. Upon arrival, soak up the vibrant atmosphere and indulge in a tasting of Limoncello, the town’s famous lemon liqueur made from locally grown Femminello Santa Teresa lemons.
Day 3 • Sorrento - Pompeii (Optional Excursion)
After breakfast, you may choose to explore the extraordinary ruins of Pompeii – the Roman city preserved by the catastrophic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD.
A private guide can be arranged for an in-depth exploration (additional cost to be shared among the group). Alternatively, opt for an excursion to Mount Vesuvius National Park to trek the slopes of this legendary volcano. Please be prepared with sturdy footwear, warm clothing, and sun protection.
Day 4 • Sorrento - Amalfi
This morning, sail toward the celebrated Amalfi Coast, passing the picturesque Sirenuses (Gallos) archipelago. Upon arrival in Amalfi, the afternoon is yours to explore.
Admire the striking medieval architecture of Sant'Andrea Cathedral or the serene Cappuccini Convent. For the adventurous, hike the scenic trails weaving through olive groves, vineyards, and ancient villages, offering unforgettable views of the coastline.
In the evening, join an optional group dinner to sample fresh seafood, homemade pasta, and locally made gelato.
Day 5 • Amalfi - Capri
Today, sail to the fabled Isle of Capri, once a favored retreat of Roman emperors.
Upon arrival, consider an optional boat excursion around the island, showcasing its dramatic cliffs and famous grottos – including the ethereal Blue Grotto. To enter the Blue Grotto, you'll switch to a small rowboat (note: swimming inside is not permitted, but nearby platforms offer swimming opportunities).
Later, you may choose to visit Capri Town or the charming hillside village of Anacapri. A highlight is the Villa San Michele, built on the remains of a Roman villa.
For those seeking a challenge, descend or ascend via the historic Phoenician Steps (Scala Fenicia). Good fitness and sturdy footwear are recommended.
Day 6 • Forio, Ischia
After breakfast, depart Capri and set course for Forio, a vibrant town on Ischia's northern coast.
Enjoy a refreshing swim en route, arriving in the afternoon. Once docked, the evening is yours to explore Forio’s charming streets, lively squares, and excellent local dining options. Your skipper will be happy to offer insider tips for the best restaurants.
Day 7 • Procida
This morning, sail back toward Procida, with opportunities for a swim along the way.
Upon arrival in the afternoon, enjoy free time to wander the island’s narrow lanes, visit the historic Palazzo d’Avalos (former prison), or relax in a waterfront café.
As a memorable finale to your adventure, sail to Marina della Corricella – one of the most photographed locales in the Mediterranean.
Consider joining an optional group dinner featuring local specialties such as rabbit stew or fresh seafood, complemented by Procida’s famous wine and a final toast of Limoncello.
Day 8 • Procida - Departure
Your sailing adventure concludes this morning after breakfast.
There are no scheduled activities today, so feel free to depart at your leisure. Should you wish to extend your stay, your booking agent will be happy to assist with arrangements.
